The lion + pheasant is centrally located in Shrewsbury's historic centre and is easily accessible from two of England's major international airports - it is 60 miles north-west of Birmingham International and 64 miles south of Manchester. It is also conveniently located on the national road network - the A5 and A49 are both within a 5 minute radius of the town centre.

Approaching Shrewsbury town centre from the south or east, you will pass the town's famous abbey and cross the English Bridge before coming to Wyle Cop. The hotel is on the left hand side immediately over the bridge.

If coming from the north or west, follow signs for the town centre and the one-way system will guide you to Wyle Cop.The hotel is at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side, just opposite the NCP car park.

Shrewsbury's railway station is approximately ½ mile, or fifteen minutes walk, from the lion + pheasant, and there are direct connections to Manchester, Birmingham, London and Cardiff, with other mainline connections from Crewe (45 mins. approx. from Shrewsbury) There are also local and national bus connections from the town's bus station, fifteen minutes from the lion + pheasant. Taxis to the hotel are available at both the rail and coach stations.
