Accessed by its own winding stair, an oak floor, soft lighting, cast iron-bed, freestanding roll-top bath and its piece-de-resistance - a unique sixteenth century king-post trussed roof - make this undoubtedly the most desirable bedroom suite in Shrewsbury.

There are also two hotel-owned cottages - the 'Stables' and 'Hotspur' - within the immediate vicinity of the lion + pheasant. Available for letting by the night or week, they are perfect for groups or families, and combine access to the hotel's amenities with all the flexibility of self-catering.

Due to its historic listed building status, the Lion + pheasant does not have lift access and regrettably cannot provide accommodation for disabled guests, but hotel management will assist visitors in finding accessible accommodation in one of the town's other hotels nearby.
